The following is an alphabetized list of Michigan judicial officers who were the subject of a public complaint (whether it resulted in discipline or not), or who consented to some sanction imposed by the Supreme Court without the filing of a complaint. Pending cases are included to maintain a complete list of public disciplinary proceedings. The Commission is working to update this site to use the term "public" to describe cases once a complaint is filed (based on the absence of the term "formal" in the Michigan Court Rules addressing the Commission). Public proceedings will continue to be identified by "FC" followed by a number to be consistent with prior practice. 

If an individual is not listed below, it is possible the judicial officer has been the subject of a private censure issued by the Michigan Supreme Court, which are not disclosed. In addition, confidential explanatory or cautionary letters and admonishments issued by the Commission are not considered sanctions and are confidential, and their existence cannot be disclosed. The Commission and its staff are prohibited from confirming or denying the existence of any investigation as to any individual.
